What does IPA Consulting do?

I provide expert agronomy consulting services to help growers optimise crop nutrition, manage weeds and diseases, improve soil health, and increase productivity. My services include full-season agronomy support, on-demand consulting, precision agriculture, paddock planning, and agronomic data analysis.

How do your services differ from other agronomy consultants?

I offer independent, data-driven advice without any sales bias. My focus is on providing practical, real-world solutions tailored to your farm’s needs. I also integrate precision agriculture tools and ag tech support to enhance decision-making and efficiency.

Where do you provide services?

I primarily operate within WA, but I can offer remote consulting for growers outside this area. If you’re unsure whether I cover your location, get in touch, and we’ll discuss the options.

Do I need to commit to a long-term contract?

No, I offer flexible service options. My Annual Agronomy Service provides structured, season-long support, while my Casual Agronomy Service allows you to access expert advice on an as-needed basis.

How does the Casual Agronomy Service work?

The Casual Agronomy Service is ideal for growers who need expert advice on a case-by-case basis. You can request farm visits, remote consultations, or assistance with specific agronomic challenges without committing to a long-term service plan.

Can you help with soil testing and fertiliser recommendations?

Yes. I provide soil health assessments and tailored fertiliser strategies based on your farm’s unique conditions. I use precision ag tools and industry knowledge to ensure nutrient applications are optimised for both efficiency and sustainability.

Do you provide independent chemical and input recommendations?

Yes. I do not sell any products, so my recommendations are 100% independent and based on what’s best for your farm, not what’s being pushed by suppliers.

What is Precision Agronomy, and how can it help my farm?

Precision Agronomy uses data-driven insights to optimise input use, improve efficiency, and enhance crop performance. This includes:

  • Variable rate fertiliser and seeding recommendations.
  • Yield mapping and in-season nitrogen management.
  • Integration of farm data platforms like John Deere Ops Centre and AFS Connect.

What Ag Tech solutions do you support?

I assist with farm data management, sensor technology, and software platforms such as:

  • John Deere Ops Centre
  • AFS Connect
  • PCT Agcloud
  • Various remote sensing and monitoring tools

If you need help setting up, managing, or interpreting ag tech data, I can provide hands-on support.

Do I need expensive equipment to benefit from Precision Agriculture?

Not necessarily. Many precision ag techniques can be implemented using existing farm machinery and technology. I can help you determine the best solutions based on your budget and goals.

How can you help with crop rotation and paddock planning?

I analyse past and present field data to develop rotation strategies that:

  • Maintain soil fertility.
  • Reduce disease and pest pressure.
  • Optimise long-term productivity.

I also integrate precision ag insights to refine paddock zoning and variable rate applications for even better results.

Can you assist with on-farm trials and research?

Yes. I can help design and manage on-farm research trials to evaluate new practices, inputs, or technologies, ensuring you get reliable data before making large-scale changes.

How do I get started?

It’s simple—just get in touch! We’ll start with an initial consultation to discuss your farm’s challenges, goals, and how my services can support you.

What are your fees?

My fees vary depending on the service and level of support required. I offer transparent pricing with no hidden costs. Contact me for a quote based on your specific needs.

How do you charge for Casual Agronomy Services?

Casual services are billed based on time worked and are invoiced at the end of each month. If you need an estimate before booking, I’m happy to discuss expected costs.

Do you offer remote consulting?

Yes. While in-person farm visits are ideal, I can provide remote agronomy consulting via phone, email, and digital platforms for certain services.
